Directions
Mudpie is closer than you think:
  • 6 miles from Amherst
  • 6 miles from Montague Center
  • 17 miles from Northampton
  • 15 miles from Greenfield or Belchertown


    • From the center of Amherst, 6 miles:
  • Take N Pleasant St north (toward UMass)
  • At the lights at Bertucci's, stay straight (now called E Pleasant St) and follow to the stop sign at the end, about 2 mi
  • Turn right onto Pine St for 0.2 mi
  • At Cushman Village, bear left to stay on the main road (now called Bridge St) for 0.4 mi
  • Turn left onto Leverett Road
  • * After 2 miles, you will come to a 4-way intersection (see map at bottom of this page). Take a sharp right to stay on the main road for 0.5 mi
  • At the 3-way intersection, bear to the left
  • Pass the Leverett Post Office and Town Hall on your right
  • The Leverett Crafts & Arts building is on your right. The entrance to Mudpie is in the back. You can park along the left side of the building. Welcome!



    • From Belchertown, 15 miles:
  • Take Route 9 to Amherst for 8 miles
  • At the lights, turn right onto South East St
  • Stay on this road for 3 miles (it is called Henry St after 2 mi), until the stop sign at the end
  • Turn left onto Market Hill Rd
  • Take an immediate right onto Bridge St for 0.2 mi
  • Turn left onto Leverett Road
  • Follow the directions for Amherst, from the star *


    From all other locations:
  • From I-91 (either northbound or southbound), take Route 116 south for 4 miles
  • Turn left (east) onto Bull Hill Road (this is easy to overlook, so watch for it 0.6 mi after the 7-11 shopping plaza in Sunderland. If you come to Bubs BBQ on your left, you went 1 mi too far.)
  • Follow Bull Hill Rd to the end, 1.4 mi
  • Turn left onto Rt 63 north
  • Take an immediate right onto Depot Rd and follow to the stop sign at the end, 1 mi
  • You will come immediately to a 4-way intersection (see map at bottom of this page). Take a sharp right to stay on the main road for 0.5 mi
  • At the 3-way intersection, bear to the left
  • Pass the Leverett Post Office and Town Hall on your right
  • The Leverett Crafts & Arts building is on your right. The entrance to Mudpie is in the back. You can park along the left side of the building. Welcome!
